At
an early age, Lynda started drawing from a photo book of "mammals
of the world" given to her by her parents. She remembers feeling
"energized" during a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of
Art with her parents when she was only six or seven. Lynda paints
mostly in oils and easily distinguished by the thickness and texture
of her paint. Her choices of subject matter often include angels
or people with "ethereal" faces or expressions. Further
characterized by the rough and muted edges of the subjects in her
compositions, Lynda's work suggests a kind of paranormal energy,
as if we are seeing the vibrations of molecules in motion.
